RAIL SERVICE:
Port Jersey Railroad Division is customer service oriented, providing rail service Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as required by customer need. PJR’s location in the Metropolitan New Jersey – New York region gives customers quick and convenient access to the New Jersey Turnpike (Exit 14A) and Route 440.
Founded in 1970, the independent Port Jersey Railroad Company short line operates a 1.6 mile industrial switching railroad in it’s namesake Port Jersey Warehouse & Industrial District. The Company was acquired by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in 2010, and merged into their neighboring New York New Jersey Rail railroad.
As part of the national rail network, we connect America’s shippers, suppliers, and distributors with the Metropolitan New Jersey – New York market and visa versa. Our knowledgeable and customer service oriented team are ready to provide the best customer service, tailored to your needs. Traffic includes but is not limited to beverages, food products, building supplies, manufactured goods, and paper.
